Matching the blood types or knowing the blood types for egg donors is not necessary for recipient moms to be. It is also not required to know the blood type of egg donors for the recipients.
Only when recipient moms to be are rhesus negative are they required to have an injection during pregnancy. Usually rhesus negative blood type moms receive an injection during pregnancy under the guidance of the treating obstetrician.
