I applied to be an egg donor a while back without any imagination of me being selected to donate. When I was asked I had to sit down and do my own research and talk to relatives and friends about the decision I was about to take to participated as an egg donor.
There were was a lot of negativity from my friends and relatives to be honest, which almost altered my decision, but after careful consideration, I realized there is a greater good and I will be giving hope to a family that was probably even hopeless of having a child. I am currently not a mother but in the future I would love to have children, and this is a choice for me, but it’s not the same for all of us. For other women who can’t have children, it’s not their choice and that’s where I realised the gift that I have. As a Christian woman, I believe that I have done my share to earn my seat in Heaven (*jokes). But honestly, this is a priceless gift that I offer to another family to shred away the pain and bring joy to another woman’s life. I am very honored to have had that opportunity.
My agent from baby2mom is Jenny and she is an incredible human being. She made everything so easy for me and let’s not talk about this woman’s the consistency on checking up and being a great emotional support. Same as the fertility clinic, Family Matters, and the staff and everyone all round really made me feel comfortable and told me to never be afraid to ask questions. All the time spent was worth it and I hope for the best outcome. I would be happy to help more family in the future.
