I am a 21-year-old African lady donor who donated eggs at the Medfem clinic in Bryanston, Gauteng, through the baby2mom organisation.
I’m going to walk you through the donation process and procedure. I had a wonderful and supportive group in regards to everything, and Jenny from the baby2mom agency was always there to offer support, even though we had electronic communication.
I was able to arrange transportation too because of baby2mom, I had 2 scans and 4 consultations where I had to go on medicine and it was pills and injections to get the eggs to grow. It’s a procedure where your nurse will show you how to take the injections and meds to and they are very kind too. I was doing great.
Then I had to go for the retrieval, and I was nervous for no reason because I was in a hospital gown and had nurses telling me the procedure and holding my hand throughout when I became a little nervous, but I was sedated and had no pain, so I woke up in the ward, got offered food, and got my medication, and I was still taken care of even after I returned home, Hanlie from the medfem clinic checked on me, and Jenny from baby2mom gave me a thank you card after the operation was completed. I would give again, thanks to baby2mom for making the process so easy. I highly recommend baby2mom agency for any egg donor.
