Has someone ever told you a story of how they’ve changed the lives of a family in the matter of a couple of weeks and you knew in your heart you wanted that too. You wanted to put that little extra happiness into the world and you wanted to complete some beautiful families puzzle.
That’s me. My gorgeous friend has donated twice already and promised to do so until she cannot anymore. Of course I had some questions for her and listened to her experiences and her stories and I knew immediately I wanted to be apart of that.
I’ve never really had a desire to have babies of my own, to raise kids and be a mom. I’ve come to terms with that a long while ago and I’ve acknowledged that by being apart of this journey, I could give all that I don’t want to someone who can’t make it happen alone. So, I signed up as soon as I was 100% certain that I wanted to do this. From there on the process has been beautiful to be honest, Jenny is a very understanding and kind woman and makes certain she can assist and give advice wherever possible.
Within a couple of weeks of completing my form I had a match! I can’t actually describe the excitement I had that a family chose me. They chose me to help them to change their lives with a little one.
My journey has barely begun – there’s still a stretch ahead, but the end holds a whole new future for a beautiful family, a baby.
And I am overjoyed that I could be apart of that x
