What could compare to the sound of a child laughing.
I once again recieved the privilege to help a family grow. Knowing the feeling of a child moving in my belly I knew what it meant so without a doubt I said yes.
I did my bloods in Pretoria and started the meds. As always the fear of needles crept up on me and yet it was not so bad.
Time passed so fast and soon I was on the plane to Cape Town. The doctor who managed my health and monitored my growth is the kindest most gentle lady ever. She is kind, patient and considerate. She made me feel safe and I trusted in her abilities.
The day came for retrieval and the whole clinic treated me like royalty. The last step is to get on the bed and relax as the doctors make jokes. You laugh as you go under and wake up comfortable.
I was not rushed to get up or leave I was treated so well and felt safe.
On my way out I received a gift the recipient, they bought me some beautiful earrings and wrote me a note on a wooden board, but my favourite gift whas the painting their child made on the wooden board for me to thank me for the sibling that would join the family.
The painting now hangs in my house. No one knows the letter on the back but everyone is in awe of this beautiful painting by an unknown artist.
