The Lord has called me to Cape Town for a reason and he knows my purpose in this journey.
This is my second egg donation and I was as eager as the first time baby2Mom contacted me! The process began with a day trip to the Cape as I was a travelling donor for a quick checkup and screening. The Cape Fertility Clinic and Jenny liased with my recipient and accommodated me with such professionalism regarding dates of scans, starting of injections etc…
The last time I donated, I was accommodated in a beautiful B&B in Claremont right near the clinic. This time I requested to stay with family in Cape Town which was not a problem at all and my second journey began. I This time was the only time I had felt a bit bloated after the trigger injection I had to administer but otherwise no other symptoms! (Donors have to administer daily injections for about two weeks, BUT its definitely easier than what it sounds like)
I felt more comfortable being an egg donor the second time round, as I knew what I was doing and it just makes it so worthwhile knowing that someone else out there may benefit from me doing this. Many choose to become donors for all different reasons, mine is to give hope. I wish my beautiful recipient health and hope, keep the faith and thank you for choosing me! This experience has definitely been the highlight of my entire life, but all would not have been possible without Dr Oosthuizen, Jenny and my recipient ?
