What an honour to be chosen as a donor, what an honour to help a family bring new life into the world.
It all started with baby2mom asking if I would be available. And ofcourse I said yes. I did my bloods, did the scan and here we go.
It felt much faster this time, and it gets easier to take the injections, as I am slowly overcoming my fear of needles.
Everyone at Pretoria Fertility took such good care of me and kept in touch all the way through, alowing me to feel safe and comfortable. Within a week I was admited and ready to go in.
What an honour though, as I was in my bed all prepped and ready to go in, when two soon-to-be-mommy’s was also admitted. They spoke like friends and shared stories of how they have been struggling to conceive.
I recall the one mommy saying how extatic she is to be able to finaly get pregnant, having waited so long. The other reacted by an over joy and excited squeal as she to had struggled so long. They were so grateful for the program and woman willing to help them with that one biggest wish to come true.
At that moment I was reminded of a prayer I said as a child where I asked our Creator to give me the ability to do His work as He saw fit.
