My donor experience:
“A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle” – James Keller
I’m 22 years old and don’t have any plans to have children in the near future, so what has no purpose to me now could be a miracle for which a family has been praying.
Up until this year it had never crossed my mind that I would donate my eggs. I think a lot of people are afraid of the “what ifs” which holds them back from a lot of things. “What if donating affects my fertility?” “What if the process is painful?” I think giving a family the greatest gift in life is bigger than any “what if”.
This journey has been so fulfilling and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Jenny from baby2mom has supported and guided me every step of the way and the doctors and nurses at the Pretoria Fertility clinic made the whole process smooth and pain free.
I’m hoping and praying that implantation is successful for my recipient and although I have no relationship, I do feel connected to them and wish them all the happiness in the world.
