She is an eloquent person who enjoys speaking. She performs well in oral presentations at school, and was involved in a few drama productions at school. She tends to be the life of the party as she enjoys being social, however, as she got older, grew to appreciate and enjoy time spent on her own as well. She enjoys reading, singing, dancing, writing (journaling, poetry, and short stories). Her interests include serving my community and helping improve people's lives in any way that she is able. She facilitates an informal outreach programme where they rally small groups of people to visit orphanages and children's homes in and around Cape Town, as well as winter drives where we get the people in our community to put together their old, gently-used clothing and blankets to donate to various homes and homeless shelters. Her passion for helping others has also been the reason that she has chosen to study towards degrees in the health sciences sector and, furthermore, why she decided to become an egg donor. Non-smoker. Reason for donating: To be able to help another family extend theirs would be a privilege and such a blessing. |

| Why do you want to be an egg donor and if you had a message for your recipient what would it be? | I value family more than most things in my life, and believe that every child deserves to be born into a family of love and to be raised by parents who are ready for them, and willing to care for and unconditionally love and support them. I made the decision to become an organ donor because I enjoy helping people in any way that I am able. I try to donate blood as often as I am able, and I have signed on to be an organ donor as well. While I pride myself on having made those choices, it took me some time to decide to become an egg donor due to my limited understanding of the way in which I would be affected by this process. I was told that donating my eggs would result in my having fertility problems in the future and thus I would be withholding the gift of having children from myself. Once I educated myself on what egg donation is and what it entails and the minimal risk to me it would involve, I couldn't find any reason not to do it. Family, to me, is something that I cherish, my parents especially. So, to be able to assist with expanding the family of someone else is a gift I feel it would be selfish not to share. To my recipient: thank you for choosing me to help you make your dream of having a baby a reality. Your decision to expand your family with a baby is no small thing, and one which I do not take lightly. I wish you all the best on your journey towards becoming parents, and pray that the outcome of this process exceeds your heart's wildest desires. It is both my pleasure and a privilege to help complete your family. With all my love, Tiffany. |
| Are there any medical or psychological concern areas we should know about? | While I was studying, I was diagnosed with generalised anxiety disorder. I am still on anti-depressants (namely Serdep) to manage this. Other than that, I have no further concerns. |
| How do you best describe yourself? | I would describe myself as a caring, compassionate, down-to-earth, easy going, kind, loving, and supportive person. I enjoy nurturing meaningful relationships and friendships, and take pleasure in socialising and trying new things. I enjoy staying busy by doing things that I enjoy, such as reading, writing, teaching, singing, dancing, and learning. While I like to organise things and have everything in my immediate environment neat and in its place, I enjoy creating cozy and relaxing spaces for me to unwind. I pride myself on having and following a self-care routine as it helps keep me grounded and calm, particularly in situations which I would otherwise find anxiety-inducing. I believe that the best thing that anybody can be, especially in a world which can all too often be so cruel and heartless, is one who is kind and who cares for others. |
